| 2nd Situation - Rural Exodus
The rural exodus is not only the imigration from the countryman to the city in search of an education and the seductive industrialized goods, but also the passage, of the region, from the manual/handmade phase to the industrial phase, which has been anticipated with the advance of electricity, television and radio, which advertise the marvels of the consumer society. In the last 50 years, especially during the postwar period, people were forced to move and adapt to life in the cities, but this undoubtedly, led to the dismantling of the individual and the denial of his cultural roots and his identity.
It could be said that the reality of the Vale dos Sinos inhabitant, by extension, is also a national reality: the people from the Northeast are fleeing to Sao Paulo, the southerners going to the State of Mato Grosso and the north of Paraná. It is also an international reality with the Mexicans going to the United States, the Turkish people to Germany and so forth. |
